MEET OUR PASTOR

Thank you for visiting our website, I am William E. Harris Jr., pastor of Believers Christian Fellowship Church. I have been in some form of ministry over 39 years. I have driven the church van at my home church, participated in Sunday School plays, worked in the church pantry, sang in the youth choir, cooked in the kitchen, organized new members class, taught bible study, chaperoned youth on sleep-overs, and many more. I have loved every aspect and learned a lot. I believe that there is a place for everyone in God’s economy. The key is discovering your gifts and being able to work in your area of giftedness. I believe God will then be pleased, the person empowered and the church blessed. The gospel is for all and I love sharing the gospel through preaching and teaching.

I am a native of Washington D.C., and yes, I am still an avid fan of The Washington Football Team. I enjoy sports and love basketball more than them all. I still play as long as my knees will allow. My hobbies are photography, reading and going to or watching movies. I am a supporter of HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), having graduated from Bishop College and Howard University School of Divinity. I have two adult sons, William III and Joshua Harris and one grand-daughter.

I believe that every church is strategically situated in its geographical location to engage in that community. I hope that you will take the time to either visit us or become a member of BCFC. Again, thanks for reading and we look forward to seeing you soon.
